Spencer Abraham Named Chairman of AREVA Inc.


Bethesda, MD - AREVA announced today that former U.S. Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham has accepted the appointment as Chairman of the Board of AREVA Inc.

As Non-Executive Chairman, Secretary Abraham will be supporting AREVA's business expansion in North America, and will bring to the group his excellent knowledge of the world energy market and international decision-makers. Secretary Abraham's appointment becomes effective on March 1, 2006.
